- Fellow Funders receives an award from the Asociación Española de Business Angels (Business Angels Spanish Association) for the best financial operation in 2019, thanks to the financing round with the brewery Dougall’s.
- The financing round was closed in a record time of 6 hours and 15 minutes, recruiting a total of 1,249,848 euros thanks to more than 400 investors.
- AEBAN presented the award during its eighth annual congress held in Madrid on Monday, November 18.
During the 8th Edition of AEBAN Congress taken place in Madrid last Monday 18, November, the awards that are intended for promoting and supporting the Business Angel image as a mean of financing for innovative entrepreneur projects were presented. The Fellow funders’ online alternative investment platform (equity crowdfunding), current leader in Spain, was awarded for the best operation of the year with Cervezas Dougall’s.
The said operation was successfully closed in May of this year. The craft brewery reached, in only 6 hours and 15 minutes, 125% of the total of its financing round (the maximum allowed by the Spanish Law). Dougall’s managed to recruit 1,249,868 euros from 438 investors, among which were customers, providers and friends.
These are the reasons why this round became the biggest in equity crowdfunding, completed by a Spanish platform in a record time.
