Fellow Funders has been involved in the fight against COVID-19 to assist startups and SMEs in dealing with the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis and in taking measures to help ensure their continuity.
Fellow Funders has managed to organise more than 9 free weekly webcasts throught the confinement: Cerca de ti #Especial COVID-19. This webcastcollaborates with partners of the law firm Devesa&Calvo Abogados that alongside Fellow Funders offer advice on financing, economics, legal, labour and tax issues and help to face the crisis to some of the sectors most affected by it.
Their Webcasts have been attended by experts on financing issues such as José María Casero (Sherpa Financiero), Inmaculada Uzquiano (Fellow Funders) and on legal and labour issues from the law firm Devesa&Calvo Abogados: Sebastián Crespo, José María García and José Luis Valverde. In these sessions, which lasted a total of 180 hours, new measures were presented and more than 200 questions were asked by some of the 1.000 attendees.
They have also had the opportunity to interview important figures from the world of economics and business, such as Daniel Lacalle, Iñigo Fernández de Mesa, Salvador Martín, Jorge Couto, Juan Ángel Soto and Álvaro Martín, among others.
Fellow Funders has currently several online channels open, such as a space on its blog, or a form to send questions from attendees called “Fellow Funders Responds”. In addition, they have a new events section available so that everyone has access to previous webcasts and can register for the next ones.
In addition, through the Crowd Investment by Fellow Funders division, two new projects have been mobilised and launched with the aim of generating a positive social impact, which have collaborated very directly in the fight against COVID-19 and which are available on its Equity Crowdfunding platform.
At Fellow Funders they try to facilitate and make themselves available to all those companies that want to grow hand in hand with those who matter most: their employees, customers, suppliers, friends and fans. But above all, for projects that aim to generate a positive social impact and that have helped in the fight against COVID-19.
To present these projects, and due to the current situation, they have organised their #14 Investor Day Webcast – Healthcare Special where they presented projects that meet environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria and that collaborate in the fight against COVID-19.
