“To provide the world’s best premium craft beer to consumers.” This is Cerveza Mica’s goal, presented to investors in its very successful funding round with Fellow Funders . The initial target of €260,000 was largely exceeded in this financing round. The amount raised reached the legal maximum of 125%, making a total of €324,500.
This craft brewery from Burgos in Northern Spain has since then continued growing and betting on quality beer. The result: Beer Mica has recently been selected as the craft beer of the premium brand El Gourmet de la Roja associated with the Spanish national soccer team. Beer and soccer, truly a dream team, are gathered in this way to fill with joy their fans’ afternoons and evenings.
Fortuitously, the brewery’s origin coincides with the most glorious era of Spanish soccer. A year after the Spanish national soccer team won its first World Cup title, Beer Mica was born. Since then, Beer Mica has aimed to produce quality beer made with fresh local barley and a surprising range of malts, hops, yeast, and water. Beer Mica has been awarded in international beer competitions such as the Dublin Craft Beer Cup or the Asia Beer Challenge.
The brewery has had a twofold success. First, the quality of their beer is recognized at an international scale. And secondly, profits have been generated in all financial years since 2014. In 2019, the company sold 250,000 liters of beer. This generated a revenue of €584,750 and an EBITDA of €56,261. Beer Mica is committed to offer their products at premium locations, such as El Corte Inglés , where a 33 cl six-pack can be found for €20.
