This week Fellow Funders successfully closed a funding round of over €200,000 with Grey Glasses. This news is always cause for celebration at Fellow Funders, but never for complacency. Fellow Funders knows, after more than 25 rounds, that reaching the investment target is not a complete success but a first step towards it. It is hoped and expected that this capital injection will allow this startup to grow and revolutionise the optical sector.

Fellow Funders’ previous experience with other projects reminds us that the road will not be easy, but it also shows us success stories that started with them. Recently, two of the most recent Fellow Funders projects have featured in news that demonstrate that they are still on the path to success.
Mooevo, award for innovation
The most recent is the case of Mooevo, which managed to raise more than 300,000 euros through Fellow Funders´ platform. This startup has designed a product that allows mobility units (wheelchairs, trolleys, etc.) to be transported with minimal effort, transporting the vehicle and the driver simultaneously.

Mooevo’s project is a clear example of innovation. That is why Mooevo has won the Startup 2020 Expansion Award in the Mobility and Smart Cities category, which encourages them to continue believing in the project and to revolutionise the mobility sector. The awards ceremony took place on December 3 and Fellow Funders, despite not being able to be present, is delighted that Mooevo wanted to share this success with them.
In addition, during the Covid-19 health crisis, they donated their Mooevo Go to the IFEMA field hospital for long distances. This saved the health workers almost 20km a day in walking distance.
EasyCharger keeps expanding
The other example of success also comes from the mobility sector, although it comes from a completely different company: Easy Charger. This startup managed to raise more than 600,000 euros with the aim of expanding its network of charging stations for electric cars. Indeed, they have done so! They have recently installed four new stations in the provinces of Lleida, Burgos, Valencia and Segovia.
With these, there are now 17 locations where users can recharge their electric vehicles. The project continues to expand, with multiple stations under construction. Easy Charger’s success is everyone’s success, as it is a clear example of ESG investment committed to the environment. Therefore Fellow Funders very much welcomes the news of these recent successes, as they will do with those to come in the near future.
These successes join those of Cerveza Mica and 2gether, which we have written about recently. These are all cases of startups dedicated to different activities. From optics to digital assets to sustainable mobility. However, they are all united by the same links: Equity Crowdfunding, ambition and success.
Despite all these achievements, Fellow Funders does not want to be complacent, but rather find in this good news an impetus to reach new heights. They endorse the famous quote of one of the greatest leaders of all time, Winston Churchill, on the day of the Allied landings at Normandy (6 June 1944): “Success is never final”.
