It’s not that we can see the light. It’s that we can see the end of the tunnel. We close September with the full reopening of entertainment venues, stadiums… We open October with the return of one of our favorite events. At the beginning of September, some Fellow Funders team members had the privilege of attending Startup Olé, held in Salamanca. We were especially excited about the event because it marked the return of face-to-face events and the beginning of the entrepreneurial course.

However, we are no less excited to see Madrid decked out to receive one of the star events in the world of entrepreneurship. South Summit 2021 arrives in the capital. It does so decked out in green, the color of hope… and ESG investment. We recommend you mark the dates in green (5th to 7th October). It is an event we will not miss, nor do we want our Fellow community to miss.
“A meeting place between the opportunities of today and the realities of tomorrow”. So defines on its website an event that this year will be held in the space La Nave and will feature, among others, the participation of people from 124 countries, 650 speakers, 1,200 investors, and 6,800 startups.
Renowned speakers
There are more than enough reasons to attend the event, but beyond the numbers are the names of the attendees, and this year’s edition will be full of renowned entrepreneurs and investors! Among others, Miguel Ángel Cuesta, director of PayPal Iberia; Andrés Camacho, director of mobility at Ferrovial; Juan Urdiales, co-founder of Jobandtalent; and Oskar Miel, Managing Partner of Rakuten Capital.
The event’s agenda is also packed with attractive presentations and startup competitions. The event will practically be held non-stop during the three days (except for a short break for lunch), from nine in the morning to seven in the evening. Moreover, attendees will be able to choose from a wide range of presentations thanks to the eight rooms set up for this purpose. The startup competition will be another highlight of the week. After the first selection process, one hundred startups will reach the final. Their leaders will have to present their projects throughout the event to win the prize at the end of this one. A return to face-to-face attendance, the best speakers, an agenda full of sessions… South Summit Madrid is set to be one of the entrepreneurship events of the year.
