Do you have a project aimed at social inclusion via employment and education? Do you need support to make it grow? Ship2BFoundation presents the 3rd edition of Scale4Impact, an acceleration and funding program for social innovation projects driven by companies, startups, and social entities.

The program targets entities that address the challenge of social inclusion of vulnerable groups, primarily through employment and education. The project must be proven and innovative, with the potential for profitability/sustainability and high impact.

Participation requirements

This program is looking for companies and social entities with:

  • A focus on social inclusion:
  • A core focus on social inclusion for vulnerable groups, primarily through employment and education.
  • A project already in operation and whose first metrics are available.
  • An innovative project.
  • A profitable and self-sustainable business model.
  • Power to replicate or improve the project to its maximum impact.

Moreover, projects aimed at the unemployed, people in precarious employment or social insecurity, women, youth, and children, i.e., any group with insufficient economic resources, will be particularly appreciated. Projects that have or will have a direct impact on the Basque Country and Navarre will also be highly valued.

Program Stages

The first step is to register for the program open from February 6 to April 2. For more information about the informative webinars and the call rules, please leave your contact information in the form on their website.

The informative webinars will take place on February 23 and March 13, dedicated to informing about all the accompaniment program details (time, involvement, and contents). The €150,000 Venture Philanthropy fund is also explained. The public will also be able to learn about the experience of projects that have participated in this program.

The second stage consists of the Impact Business Bootcamp from April 28 to June 19. During this stage, five projects will be pre-selected for an initial diagnosis, as well as a series of webinars. The Impact Business Bootcamp is scheduled for the week of May 22. During this event, the value propositions of the pre-selected projects are refined and improved, receiving information and mentoring on core issues. Finally, each company is diagnosed, and two projects are selected for the last phase.

The third stage, the mentoring program, runs from July 10 to the beginning of February 2024. The two finalists receive personalized assistance, including support in the design of a strategy to maximize social impact, business and commercial strategy, and human resources. Finally, the Ship2B Foundation will validate each project’s social impact and investment readiness. All of these requirements are essential for accessing the Venture Philanthropy financing fund.

The program is complemented by a fund of €150,000 to be distributed among the projects, with a maximum of €75,000 and a minimum of €25,000 per project. Once the funding has been granted, the Ship2B Foundation will follow up on the project. Finally, the selected projects will have the opportunity to participate in Ship2B Foundation events, such as Ship2B Impact Forum.

If you want to register for the program, you must fill out a form on their website, where you can find more information and news about past editions. The call for applications will be open until April 2.
